Industrial Cling Film Wrap — HORECA, Catering and Food-Processing Grade
Industrial Cling Film Wrap — HORECA, Catering and Food-Processing Grade
SUNWRAP industrial cling film wrap is built for the duty cycles of professional kitchens, catering operations and food-processing lines — long-format rolls, strong cling tuned for meat trays and stainless-steel prep tables, and the same FDA-compliant, SGS-tested food-grade PVC and PE formulations we supply to supermarket chains. It is the right grade for buyers whose end users are restaurants, hotels, catering companies, meat processors, central kitchens and airline caterers rather than household consumers.
We have been manufacturing industrial cling film since April 2004 — first as Dalian Sanrong Chemical, and since 2025 as Ningbo Sanrong New Materials at our Ningbo Qianwan New Area plant in Cixi. We are Korean-invested, have been named one of China’s top-ten cling-film brands, and we export routinely to HORECA and food-processing importers across the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria.
Key benefits
- Long-format rolls. 500 m, 1000 m and 1500 m roll lengths mean fewer changeovers on a busy restaurant or processing line.
- High cling, tuned for trays and pans. The PVC industrial grade is tuned to grip meat trays, deep catering pans and stainless-steel prep surfaces without sliding or releasing under fridge humidity.
- Commercial-format packaging. Standard cutter boxes, wall-dispenser rolls, and master cartons sized for HORECA back-of-house stores — not household retail packaging pretending to be commercial.
- Two materials, one supplier. PVC industrial grade for meat, produce and catering tray wrap; PE industrial grade for microwave-safe ready-meal operations. Mix and match within one container.
- Verified food-grade compliance. FDA-compliant, SGS-tested, migration reports on file.
Specifications
Industrial PVC cling film runs 9–15 µm thick, generally at the upper end of the range to handle the higher duty of professional use; industrial PE runs 12–20 µm. Standard widths are 300, 380, 450 and 500 mm — covering the full size range from gastronorm pans up to wide meat trays. Standard lengths are 300, 500, 1000 and 1500 m. Cores are 1.5-inch or 3-inch to fit commercial cutter boxes and wall dispensers. Both materials are FDA-compliant food contact and SGS-tested, with per-lot COA.
Applications / Who uses this
- Restaurant and hotel kitchens — food storage, portion wrap, prep-station covers, banquet trays.
- Catering and banquet operators — sealing gastronorm pans, buffet trays and transport containers.
- Meat-processing plants — tray, carcass and portion wrapping; compatible with standard semi-automatic wrapping machines.
- Central kitchens and ready-meal producers — inline tray wrap.
- Airline, hospital and institutional catering — meal-tray sealing under strict food-safety regimes.
- Bakery and deli commissaries — batch wrapping for same-day distribution.
HORECA-specific notes for importers
Middle East hotel and restaurant demand is the single largest driver of cling-film consumption in the region — roughly 58% of regional demand — which is why importers in Dubai, Riyadh and Cairo typically place their first orders on industrial format rolls rather than retail consumer packs. In Southeast Asia, restaurant and catering demand in the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam has grown rapidly in parallel with supermarket and food-delivery expansion. Our industrial format range is designed around this buyer profile.
Meat, seafood and produce tray wrapping
For meat, seafood and produce trays, the PVC industrial grade is our default recommendation. PVC’s combination of crystal-clear transparency and strong self-cling is what makes fresh protein look bright on the tray and keeps the wrap sealed through chilled distribution. This is a proven application — we have been producing PVC cling film for meat-tray packaging in Korea, Japan and China for 20+ years, and the same formulation is available to export buyers today.
Manufacturing and quality control
Industrial format rolls come off the same extrusion lines and the same food-grade cleanroom as our retail product. Incoming resin is batch-tested, extrusion is monitored in-line, and finished rolls are inspected for thickness uniformity, clarity, cling strength, odor and visual defects. Retained samples are archived against every export lot for at least 12 months. FDA-compliance and SGS-migration documentation are available on request.
Shipping and export
Industrial cling film ships under HS code 3920.43 / 3920.49 (PVC) or 3920.10 (PE). Default FOB Ningbo; CIF and CFR to destination port on request. From Ningbo-Zhoushan Port — about 40 km from our plant — typical transit is 3–5 days to Ho Chi Minh, 5–7 days to Manila and Bangkok, 7–10 days to Jakarta, 15–20 days to Alexandria, and 18–25 days to Jebel Ali and Lagos.
Custom options
Custom widths, roll lengths and core diameters are routine. Private-label cutter boxes, branded wall-dispenser rolls, and multi-language labeling (English + Arabic, Bahasa, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Hindi) are handled through our OEM program — see the Custom / OEM cling film page.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes industrial cling film different from household cling film?+
Industrial cling film is longer per roll (usually 500–1500 m versus 20–50 m for household), runs on commercial cutter boxes and wall dispensers, and is formulated for higher duty cycles. The resin and food-contact compliance are the same — the difference is the format, the cling tuning and the packaging.
Which material works best for meat and seafood wrapping?+
For meat, seafood and poultry tray wrapping at supermarket fresh counters and in processing plants, PVC is the industry standard — it has the clarity that makes product look fresh and the self-cling that holds tightly to tray edges. Our PVC industrial grade is engineered specifically for this duty.
Do you supply cutter boxes and wall dispensers with the film?+
Yes — we can supply rolls in branded cutter boxes ready for restaurant and catering use, and we work with partner suppliers for stainless-steel wall dispensers if your buyer needs a full kitchen-equipment kit. Tell us the volume and we will quote both components together.
What is the MOQ for industrial cling film?+
One 20GP container mixed across widths and lengths, or 300 cartons for a single-SKU finished cutter-box order. Trial orders for new HORECA buyers are negotiable.
Can you print our restaurant or catering brand on the box?+
Yes — private-label cutter boxes and master cartons are a standard part of our OEM program. See the Custom / OEM cling film page for artwork and MOQ details.
Which export markets do you serve for HORECA cling film?+
We supply HORECA and food-processing buyers across Southeast Asia (Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia), the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia) and North/Sub-Saharan Africa (Egypt, Nigeria). The Middle East hotel and restaurant sector alone accounts for roughly 58% of regional cling-film demand, which is why we keep industrial format rolls in steady production.
